We are offering an exceptional PostDoc grant to develop 3D-generative models and apply these for potency predictions with the aim to accelerate drug design. This unique opportunity provides highly talented individuals the chance to pursue their own postdoctoral project proposal within the cutting-edge scientific environment of Boehringer Ingelheim's computational chemistry team in Biberach, Germany.
The development of 3D-generative models for molecular design is still in its early stages, creating a gap between predictive models operating in 2D and the 3D target binding site. While progress has been made, the synthesizability of generated molecules remains a challenge, limiting the practical application of these methods. However, leveraging internal data and project-specific filters can help mitigate this bottleneck in the pharmaceutical industry.
To join Boehringer Ingelheim and contribute to better drug design with improved predictive models, we are inviting scientists to answer the following question:
How would you leverage cutting-edge machine learning techniques to create and integrate 3D-generative models with potency predictions for innovative drug design?
Please submit your complete application package, including your project plan, CV, publication list, and letters of recommendation, on our platform, opnMe.com. A panel of computational scientists at Boehringer Ingelheim is eagerly waiting to review your application.
As part of an international team of highly skilled scientists in computational drug design, you will gain valuable insights into the drug discovery process in the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to receive expert mentoring, attend prestigious international conferences, and publish your research in high-impact journals.
Apply soon as your applications can only be accepted if they arrive by May 13, 2025, 11:59 pm PST.
