We are excited to offer an exceptional PostDoc grant opportunity in the cutting-edge field of parapoxvirus-based cancer vaccines. This unique chance offers high-class talents the opportunity to execute their postdoctoral project proposal in the state-of-the-art scientific environment of the DNA Virus team at ViraTherapeutics, a subsidiary of Boehringer Ingelheim, located in Innsbruck, Austria for up to three years.

Cancer immunotherapy focuses on harnessing the patient's immune system to generate durable responses against malignancies. Common approaches involve the use of tumor-specific antigenic sequences, delivered through various platforms such as DNA, RNA, peptides, or virus-based cancer vaccine platforms. The success of a cancer vaccine depends on factors like the design of the antigenic sequence, the chosen platform, and patient-related factors.

The DNA virus team of Boehringer Ingelheim is specifically exploring the use of poxviruses as a cancer vaccine platform, and invites proposals for the following question

With the goal to optimize a parapoxvirus-based cancer vaccine platform, how do you propose to understand the mechanisms driving the induction of an anti-cancer immune response and the key factors impacting the efficacy of such a vaccine?

Please submit your complete application package, which includes your project plan, CV, publication list, and letters of recommendation, on our platform, opnMe.com. A panel of highly distinguished ViraTherapeutics scientists are eagerly waiting to review your application.
